12. Your glorious presence and Your great sovereignty

O My lord! All praise is due to You as is befitting to Your glorious presence and Your great sovereignty.

Ya Rabbi, Laka alhamdu kama yanbaghi li jalali wajhika wa atheemi sultaanik.

Abdullah Ibn Ghanam Al-Bayadi (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sas) said: “Whoever says when he wakes up in the morning: [this dua], has fulfilled his (duty of) thanks (to Allah) for the day; and the one who says the same when evening arrives has fulfilled his (duty of) thanks (to Allah) for the night.” Related by Abu Dawud, Nisa’i, and Ibn Hibbani
